XL2411P = XL2411 ?

Post by alexlee1906 » 17 Nov 2018, 21:51

AFAIK, Chief recommends XL2411P as the only 60Hz strobe monitor right out of the box (sort of), which support console as well.

I play Xbox one X and PS4 so I ordered XL2411P 2 days ago...

But after I checked the blur buster official list of gaming monitor, XL2411P is not on the list? only XL2411.

So my question is..... XL2411P equals to XL2411? Is XL2411P on the "official list"?

I got only a few days left before I can return it.....so pls advise...

XL2411P does indeed support 60Hz single-strobe. XL2411P is the successor to the XL2411Z / XL2411, and adds a DisplayPort output.

The only XL2411 that doesn't support single-strobe 60Hz is the XL2411T that came before the XL2411Z.

Thank you, I found one on craigslist that is 3 months old and more than half off. Think I'll pick it up and see how it goes. It does not matter if I use the menu method or the app method to have the strobing effect on ?

XL2411P works fine in 60Hz strobe mode.
I played PC games with V sync on....and all blur is gone!
I can't be more happier.....oh yeah!

But when I connect console to XL2411P, I get double image....
And I just realized most console games (say GTA, monster hunter world...) were running at 30fps.
60 strobe + 30Hz = double image
Some console racing games running at 60fps though, no blur in XL2411P....

If you buy XL2411P mainly for Xbox and PS4, I don't recommend...
Unless the console game you play running at 60fps which is unlikely.....

Thank you chief, the BENQ utility works great on XL2411P
May I ask any reason why XL2411P not listed in blur busters' "offical monitor list"?

I am updating the official monitor list shortly. The GSYNC/FreeSync lists have recently been updated now.

Keep tuned.

Does is matter which input is used to adjust the monitor for a console ? I can setup w/ DP while running program on PC then switch input to HDMI ?

Yes, you can. The Blur Busters Strobe Utility settings is global.

Skip the Vertical Total tweaking if you're only using blur reduction on consoles, since consoles don't use large vertical totals.

Just configure your PC to 1920x1080 60Hz -- tune your monitor with Strobe Utility via its brand new built-in TestUFO -- and then switch to your console input (or swap cables) of the same resolution and refresh rate.
