Hey guys recently bought the Acer KG251QF but got really bad ghosting on the desktop white trail behind the mouse and slight over shoot in game no matter what OD setting i used
I mainly play CSGO but do play other games occasionally, Basically a weekend warrior. Casual Competitive player with CSGO to have fun
Just wondering there is a $170.00 AUD difference between them,
I have seen online the VG258Q has issues at 144hz but good at 120hz
My main issue is ghosting ETC does the VG258Q suffer from over drive issues? on Desktop or ingame?
For what i do i'am leaning towards the VG258Q i just hate the thoughts of going thru another RMA
Thanks
JMH
VG258Q or XG258Q

Re: VG258Q or XG258Q
Just ordered the XG258Q, Tired of procrastinating really like the look and don't really like 1080p 27" either
Just wish there was more on that monitor on the net
Cheers

For apples vs apples, did you compare LG's blur reduction versus ASUS ELMB? Or did you compare non-strobed?pox02 wrote:i dont suggest asus for now i have pg248q xg248q lg 27gk750f-b and aw2518hf and dell and lg are the best monitors i ever tried LG have much clear motion then xg248q so its should be better then XG258Q i didnt try vg258q though
I'm curious how they compare on those aspects (strobed versus, and nonstrobed versus).

Re: VG258Q or XG258Q
Theres a newer asus model, vg258qr with 0.5ms panel, no reviews yet but at least on paper its better then vg258q
Re: VG258Q or XG258Q
non strobed LG wins what i like about the asus you have adaptive-sync that work with nvidia and amd thats it overdrive 4 is balance between fast and ghostingChief Blur Buster wrote:For apples vs apples, did you compare LG's blur reduction versus ASUS ELMB? pox02 -- you're saying LG has excellent overdrive that keeps things really clear in non-strobed 240Hz? Interesting!
