CFG70 27" curved freesync 2 monitor

All newer XBOX consoles supports 120Hz+ & FreeSync. Getting help with getting "Better Than 60Hz" on the XBOX ONE, XBOX Series S, and XBOX Series X, as well as the PlayStation 5.

CFG70 27" curved freesync 2 monitor

Post by jeremyg237 » 22 Dec 2018, 16:04

All,

I am new to the forum and am so glad I found it. I have a few questions concerning this monitor and the xbox one x.

1. Since the xbox one x plays enhanced games. (4K and HDR) My question is what is the best competitive setting for the chg70. Not for the game to look great, but instead play great, fast and smooth.

XBOX ONE X Settings-Currently I have my xbox resolution on 4K UHD and 60hz with everything checked in advanced video mode except allow auto low latency (grayed out) and Allow 3D(grayed out).

CFG70 Settings- Picture mode FPS,fressync on ultimate engine. However monitor is still set to 120hz and low input lag says on.

If you need anymore info please let me know. Firmware is updated and pictures included.

120Hz sounds fine to me. That should give you the lowest input lag possible.

So I changed a few things.

xbox one x-1440p 60hz and allow variable refresh rate checked (no longer 4k)

Changed color space to PC RGB and now colors are popping.

Game feels quicker to me.

Interesting! You get less input lag with 1440p 60Hz VRR, than with 120Hz?

1440p 120hz should give the lower input lag. I think you can´t use VRR with 120hz on Xbox, not sure about that. If you could, it would decrease the input further because on these Samsung VA PAnels, activating VRR decreases the input lag by some margin. However not a big margin enough to beat 120hz with a 60hz signal.

Also it doesn´t matter if your monitor shows 120hz on the OSD, it will only be at 120hz if Xbox says so.
