XL2546 vs. LG 27GK750F-B vs. xg248q and a few questions !

Post by heckenjoni » 11 Jan 2019, 05:19

i dont mind freesync/gsync, i can hit 240 fps without any problems in the games i play (R6, CS:GO, and some other shooters).
i did read a lot about all this monitors (all 48 pages (here on blurbusters) over the LG, everything i could find about the xg248q and the xl2546).

1. in a lot of posts about the XL2546 people write stuff like "it has the slowest response time of all 240hz monitors" is there any confirmation/proof for that ? (i never found a source)
2. some ppl did write (here on blurbusters and on reddit) it has the best 240hz strobe atm, is there any confirmation/proof for that ?
(i never found a source)
3. i did read the xg248q has very bad overdrive ? would love to get some feedback on that oneaswell!

if anyone here tested the listed monitors and can tell me what they think about it or can compare them that would be aweosme, so far i got a lot of praise for the xl2546 on reddit, still would love to here your opinion's here from an audiance with more knowledge then the avg. reddit user that baught a xl2546 because of proplayer xy

240hz wise the Asus xg248q is the best because the panel is natively 240hz. Also 1080p is sharper on its 23,8 inches. I have this monitor. Had the first gen 240hz ones and they are worse thab this asus wich is the closest thing to a crt I ever had.

Mind you the contrast is bad, colours too. Is a pure online gaming device and no monitor on the market beats it for that usage.

xg248q overdrive is ok but not good like dell aw2518hf if you want the best in market you should consider the dell not only the input lag feels much better then xg the overdrive is amazing Fast feels like you on level 5 on xg when you change to super fast you will go insane how fast this monitor the only bad thing i can think of dell is the white lines when you go super fast but you can fix it with vt tweak
monitors xg258q aw2518hf 27GK750F-B pg248q xg240r lg w2363d-pf xb270hu XL2546 XL2546K NXG252R

I had an AW2518hf wich I sold after I got the asus xg24. The asus is better on almost everything. It is way faster than the dell so idk why you saying that. The only thing the dell beat the asus was contrast an thats it. Also dell has a bad overshoot on bright colours.

Anyway, I gave my opinion already, as I used a lot of 240hz monitors. Asus xg24, for pure gaming, unbeatable. Is the only native 240hz monitor. Nothing else to add.

yes i have xg248q its decent monitor ELMB is good its have Adaptive sync but nothing less if you looking for extreme motion clarity you should consider the LG cause its much better then ELMB from asus

are you sure about that ? i read terrible things about it, even 1 user here on blurbusters compared it to the XL2740 i think ? there was a topic on r/monitors and a few ppl that tested the lg 240hz strobe said its not that great, but if you tested it yourself and the xl2546 + the asus and you say the lg has the best montion clarity that would sound very cool and i guess i have to try it myself then ?!

1080p on 27 inches is bad imo. And as I told you, Asus XG248Q is the only monitor right now with a native 240hz panel. You should not consider a first gen 240hz screen over Asus XG24 unless you really want a bigger size.

Can you explain what you mean when you say the xg248q is the only monitor right now with a "native 240hz panel"?

I was under the impression that all 240hz monitors on the market are "natively 240hz" so when i interpret what you've said, it makes me think you are saying all the other 240hz monitors are inferior and are instead 144hz panels (or anything below 240hz) but overclocked to 240hz (similar to how monitors like pg279q are natively 144hz but overclocked to 165hz).

I am pretty sure you didn't mean this, since recently you also quoted a good monitor/input lag review website, Rtings.com and also the XL2540 monitor (240hz) that they also reviewed (https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/ ... wie-xl2540), where in that review it certainly describes the panel as having a native refresh rate of 240hz (under the "Motion" and "Refresh Rate" headings)

lol So what did you mean by xg248q is the only native 240hz panel\
