BenQ XL2430T - upgrade to XG240R or Asus Rog Strix X248QE

Post by garetjax » 27 Feb 2019, 16:08

Hi All,

I'm looking for advice on upgrading from my BenQ XL2430T. Will it be a noticeable improvement going to the XG240R? I am mostly playing Overwatch so will it be worth the 240HZ Asus? I will probably go for the Lenonov Y27gq once reviews are out assuming they are good but that could be 6 months or more so looking at cheap upgrades. I have an Nvidia 1080 so it would also be nice to upgrade to a gsync monitor.

The XG240R is only $259.99 on amazon so its a cheap upgrade. The Asus is only $349 so not bad either.

Thanks - Garetjax

Go for the XG240R in my opinion. The asus VG248QE looks like a bad choice, read here for more info:

XG240R is the succesor of XG2402 and if it were available in my country at the price you said, I would buy it at this moment but here the XG2402 is 310$..

No motion blur reduction though.
