anyone who owns this monitor please advise. i'm pretty sure quite a handful...

i know this monitor can do light boost up to 120hz with vsync after reading up on blurbusters. but what about at 144hz?
does it have any form of motion blur reduction other than just the standard 1ms... to prevent ghosting and all...

or rather how should i rephrase it... in general, is there any form of MBR for 144hz monitors? or is it just that this particular monitor doesn't come with one?

Can it also run at 1920x1080@120hz or 1920x1080@100hz on a DisplayPort cable?

reason i'm askin... being i plan to use it at 100 or 120hz for starters but eventually moving on to 144 as i'm still limited by the response rate of my mouse @ 125ms... i think thereabouts... of which i plan to change at a later stage.

No, LightBoost is only supported at 100Hz and 120Hz.

VG248QE doesn't come with DisplayPort, it's an older monitor.

You definitely need to upgrade your mouse, because mouse microstutters are much more visible when there's less display motion blur. (LightBoost makes microstuttering massively more visible because there is less blur to hide stutters). You will prefer the LightBoost look of framerate-match-refreshrate. 100fps@100Hz looks much better than 100fps@120Hz.

It does come with Displayport. You might like to check that product again.

Is it gonna be really bad? The microstutters. Will it be significantly prominent on my mouse cursor when moving it especially ingame? What if I disable lightboost and just enable Vsync at 120? Will the stutters still be there at 120fps120hz? Also what if I use the monitor at 144fps144hz? Will there be any stutters for my mouse?

I use the original mx518 about 8-10yrs ago. Should be at the standard 125ms polling rate. I read somewhere since my mouse polling rate is higher or equivalent to the refresh rate / fps, there won't be stutters/jitters. Since I plan to use it at 120fps120hz max, will there still be stutters as I'm already aiming to match mouse polling rate to refresh rate/fps? In this case... exceeding it.

Also is it advisable to use a monitor at its non-native refresh rate which is at 144hz? As I plan to use it at 120hz for gaming and non gaming apps. Will there be blurriness? I can deal with a bit of it... since I'm coming from a 60hz.

Is it also possible to set this monitor's refresh rate to it's non standard timings eg. at 120hz1080p in windows monitor control panel? Will the option be there?

do you still have that picture illustration of microstuttering for mouse at 125,500 and so forth? i'd just like to visualize it better as i've no idea how does microstuttering look like.

since lightboost doesn't work at 144hz, does this monitor come with other forms of MBR at 144hz?
