Yes is a new panel, 23,6 inches btw. Finally we have a new 144hz TN panel that isn´t either the old AUO one or the new 24,5 ones (too big).

I will try one of these models very soon, and Will ofc report back here on the forums. 23,6 is an amazing size.

It is dropping price week by week, right now 199€ here in Portugal, wich is more than acceptable for a new 144hz monitor!

Also the Asus VG248QG 165hz is releasing 31th May, so in 5 days!

Wow the quoted ave response time on that VG248QG is 1ms. If that's true its an insanely good competitive monitor.

Well, surprise surprise, the Asus VG249QG released today here in my country. But Asus is losing their mind, 300€ for a 144hz/165hz 1080p monitor in 2019? No way I will buy this tbh. For 300€ you already get 240hz models. Idk what Asus idea is, but I would never spend such amount of money on a 144hz/165hz monitor.

Asus XG248Q 240hz monitor, for example, has been at 339€ a lot of times here, and usually peaks at 380€. AlienWare AW2518HF usually at 260€-300€ here.

LG 24GL600F is interesting tho, because it´s only 200€.

I've had a 24GL600F myself for just over a week now. Paid £190 here in the UK.

My initial thoughts;

PPI at 23.6" 1080p is noticeably crisper than my 24" and 24.5" monitors.
Contrast is noticeably improved when compared to my XG2402, XG240R, and XG258Q.
Colours look inkier/deeper (likely because of the improved contrast).
Input lag is very good.

Overdrive is good, but not exceptional (on my sample at least). It can't hold a candle to the overdrive kings XG2402/XG240R in this regard.

Did you use contrast at less than 68? That made the overdrive on my unit superior to xg2402. It completly eliminated any artifact!

Thanks for the tip, Notty! I hadn't tried that.

I had to reduce contrast on my sample to 55-60 to eliminate the powdery ghosting in UFO Motion Test.

Now the OD compares very favourably indeed to the XG2402/XG240R.
