Is there anyway you could take some detailed pictures of what the DIY do it yourself looks like, I am very interested in making one myself.
Thanks
Hi there SuperSlug.

I think the pdf scheme is very easy to follow, anyhow here is a picture of mine,
remember this was soldered together in 20 min. So its not pretty. Your only gonna use this once.

Remember to follow the pdf guide, Flash with monitor powered on into standby. (important)

On my first flash I had the monitor still connected to my main pc via DVI and powered on while flashing.
This first flash succeeded with a Green PASS, but did not flash the monitor.
On my second flash, I only connected the VGA (flash) cable to my old laptop (with LPT port) in standby mode.
And this flash worked fine.

NB. How I got out of the "Burn in mode" at the end of the flash, I am not sure of. :?:
I think mine did when I connected my main pc via DVI again.

hope this helps you.

I unplugged the dvi cable to get the burnin screen (bg changing color) and press the power + menu to get rid of this.

Excellent news!

Please feel free to add your experiences with the Strobe Utility too!
If you are a LightBoost user on other monitors, how does your Zseries V2 compare now?

hi,

I'm going to order the 2411z and try the diy flash. Do you have recommendations for the components used? The Manual says "of any type" but there are several npn 2scs; which values have yours, jubaz? Or does it really not matter?

i think with the low voltage and current here it doesn't matter. i used 2n2222 transistors and 1k ohm resistors for my adapter

Hi lebowsky

I used 2x BC548B NPN transistors and 2x 100 Ohm resistors.
