Hi everyone,
I've been a long time lurker of the website and forums. I really need advice on a monitor so I've made an account to ask you guys for advice.
I've recently moved to Germany after University and I would like to get a proper monitor. I've been playing on my laptop which has a 1080p 144hz screen for the past 2 years while in University. I would like to have a proper set up while I'm here in Germany, getting sick of playing on the laptop's keyboard and screen. I would like to set it up like a proper desktop where I can use my mechanical keyboard and have a proper monitor as my laptop as the "PC Box" on the side. When I use my mechanical keyboard I have to move the whole laptop further back on my desk and it makes it really heard to see things on the small 17'' at that distance especially in BFV. I mostly play WoW, BFV, BRs, and other types of games. My setup back home I had a desktop PC with 4770K @ 4.2GHz , MSI GTX 1080 and ASUS PG278Q but I couldn't bring those with me to University. My laptop is Clevo P775TM1-G that has a 8700K @ 4.5GHz, GTX 1080, 1080p 144Hz G-Sync panel. My criteria for a monitor is that it must be 144Hz and have G-Sync or be G-Sync Compatible (I can't live without G-Sync anymore). I've been researching different monitors from ASUS, Acer, MSI, AOC, as well as reading the various threads on here and I'm totally lost as what to get. I've been looking at monitors such as ASUS PG258Q, VG258QR, XG258Q, XG248Q Acer XN253QN, XF252QX, AOC G2590PX, HP Omen X 25F, MSI Oculux NXG251R. I don't think I really need a 240Hz monitor as my laptop will never be able to get more then 130 FPS in most games. So I'm probably leaning towards a really good 144 to 165Hz monitor that is G-Sync Competible as I don't think it's smart to pay for the proper G-Sync tax. I also don't like the huge bezels on the ViewSonic monitors(I know they are one of the bests). My budget is around 400 euros. I hope you guys could help me get closer to a decision

I often do not clearly state my thoughts. google translate is far from perfect. And in addition to the translator, I myself am mistaken. Do not take me seriously.

Is there a reason why everyone recommends the viewsonic? I'm not a fan of the huge bezels.

Huge bezels have a better chance of improving image quality at the edges (they can better block the backlight from bleeding through.)m4gg0t wrote:Is there a reason why everyone recommends the viewsonic? I'm not a fan of the huge bezels.
