Worlds First 360hz G-Sync Monitor!
Re: Worlds First 360hz G-Sync Monitor!
Unfortunately I had an Asus 24-inch 240hz monitor at home and did worse than on a 27-inch 144hz 1440p monitor. Later got the 27-inch Acer 240hz monitor and that was the best monitor I've tried for Overwatch. I can't imagine another reason than stupidity for Asus to not have a 27-inch model, and unfortunately I didn't see Acer being mentioned in this partnership with Nvidia. It wouldn't surprise me if stupidity prevails again. I do need to see an eye doctor before then... but Overwatch started going down the drain for multiple reasons so it's not like I'm using the fast monitor. Can't wait for the Overwatch reskin in 2022.

Its probably going to take two years for this panels to reach consumers considering past reveals to launch time.
Re: Worlds First 360hz G-Sync Monitor!
Release is stated to be this year.

Yep, that's what I had in mind. I don't know whotf JJ is and I couldn't care less how supposedly awesome he is but it seems he's an Asus representative to be speaking about these products and making that statement.

Maybe Benq will pull a stunt and release same panel without gsync before asus like they did with xl2540 before the so called first 240hz monitor pg258q witch was available for purchase 4-5 month later than the benq
Re: Worlds First 360hz G-Sync Monitor!
I think gsync is neat even for performance gaming at a -3 fps cap. The thing about Benq is that it seems smooth without it. Do they do something to compensate for not having it?

Any evidence of improved GtG - or just hz?
Re: Worlds First 360hz G-Sync Monitor!
So how do these now very high refresh rates interact with the "server tick rates" of games? I've definitely noticed an improvement, supported by performance, going to 240hz but from what I've read for Overwatch only the esports tick rates have been 144, let alone 240.
