Post by eXc » 17 Feb 2020, 12:53

Hello, sorry for my bad english.

Some months ago i buy my first 144hz monitor ACER KG251Q, i don't know what is name of my issue, i call him color problem..
i know it is normal that from nvidia conrol panel setting i can not get above than 60hz on HD Resolution and when i set PC resolution i can set 144hz but in this case i have color problem...

Comparison to Nvidia HD Resolution vs PC Resolution:

HD for TV connected, PC for Monitor.
at imgur.com/5qC4zf5 looks like photos done at different view angles :)
Or there is different font rendering (different pixel smooth technique). It differs because of different subpixel layout http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/subpixel.php

I just watched videos. It's more looks like that overdrive acts differently at 60hz and 144hz. I've met that acer has overdrive artifacts even at static (still) picture. Here is your issue im sure - viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5592

thanks for replys.
i found what causes issue.. 1) if i decrease G Gain & G Bias from color temp seeting problem is solved. 2) also from color temp, if i change color temp to Cool mode instead Warm/Normal, problem again solved. 3) if i set brightness less than 47 level, problem solved..

I never think that it was possible to solve issue from monitor setting.. because 'HD' resolution was fine. and 'PC' resolution had issue at same monitor settings..
