Intermittent black screen with G Sync and Acer XF250Q

Post by mattnourse » 03 Mar 2020, 16:16

Hi guys,

Really hoping someone on here can help.

I have an RTX 2070 super and an Acer XF250Q. Processor 4790 K

Ever since having the monitor and trying to use the G Sync with Freesync compatibility, in game Every few minutes my screen goes black for a few seconds.

I have tried the new display port cable I tried messing around with adjacent frame rate limits but nothing seems to work. Is this monitor just cursed?

Grateful for any help.

I had this issue on my Viewsonic XG270, what fixed it for me was using Custom Resolution Utility(CRU) and upping the lower Vrate range limit.
I upped mine from default 48 to 55 which seems to have resolved the issue. Here is an Image to help you.

Hit Edit on the top right next to the name of your monitor and in the window that pops up try adjusting the lower Vrate range limit.
You will have to use the restart.exe thats included in the zip. Make a note of what the default is, in case this doesnt help.
