Incorrect native resolution(TV resolution) instead of PC XG2402

Using the latest Nvidia drivers
I'm even using Displayport. These tv resolutions shouldn't even be showing up
Even if i use PC 1080p 144hz resolution, I can still modify sharpness in monitor OSD which should NOT be possible

Already did a clean install using DDU and reinitialized the monitor
Any ideas?

ViewSonic XG2402, right?

This somewhat stumps me. Try doing a factory reset in the monitor menus to see if your XG2402 starts to behave normally. Try a different port on your GPU and on monitor.

Failing that, try a different better DisplayPort cable (not the one included with monitor, those box-ins are sometimes suprisingly high defect rate regardless of brand, ASUS, BenQ, Acer, ViewSonic -- the included DisplayPort cable is often low quality).

As a last resort ditch, turn the spaceship straight into the sun and try HDMI anyway -- create the custom resolution -- some gaming monitors support full Hz (144Hz and 240Hz) over HDMI. There is no refresh rate limit for HDMI and all recent NVIDIA/AMD cards can do 240Hz HDMI even over lowly 1.3a. 4K 60Hz and 1080p 240Hz is exactly the same bandwidth on HDMI. Any NVIDIA/AMD GPU capable of single-link HDMI 4K 60Hz can do 1080p 240Hz HDMI. Your weak link will typically be the limits of the HDMI chip built into monitor, and/or the missing Plug-n-Play EDID (necessitating a Custom Resolution to create 120Hz or 240Hz for HDMI).

I've tried both HDMI and Displayport. Tv resolutions show up on both. I'm also using high quality cables and tried multiple
factory reset doesnt fix it
144hz does work when i switch to the PC resolution but the sharpness is still adjustable and I know that it should be greyed out instead from what i've read.
Is this something wrong with the nvidia driver or with the monitor?

I don't know if it will fix your issue but you can try to install the drivers and see if sometime change.
I couldn't find a way to change sharpness so I used SoftMCSS to change it xd

Installed the "driver" and all it did was put a bunch of ICM files on my c drive
Is the Sharpness option in OSD greyed out for you?
If so you are already getting native sharpness you shouldn't have to change it

Native sharpness is something like 75/100, which imo is too blurry, I prefer 100/100.
I use DP, I recommend you to avoid the default cable, it's not Vesa certified.

I see, mine was manufactured in 2019 so the adjustable sharpness might be something they unlocked in newer firmwares
Or maybe its because I'm using an nvidia gpu. I know other monitors such as the aw2518hf also show tv resolutions in nvcp

when i change to PC-RESOLUTION screen is not smooth and clear.
I Just have 1920x1080p NOT Native with 240, 144 and 100Hz.

Any Recommendation for a high quality DP Cable?
