Does G-SYNC Compatible mean that it works with AMD cards?

It will work just fine, you have AMD graphics card, AMD's Adaptive-Sync is AMD Free-Sync, XG270 monitor is a Free-Sync display. G-Sync Compatible means that Nvidia GeForce graphics card users can use Adaptive-Sync on Free-Sync monitors as well.
