How does G-SYNC work with UWP Games?

Even though UWP games are borderless windowed (Gears, Forza), the video settings in-game classify it fullscreen. But the G-SYNC display overlay says it's "on", so, I suppose it working even though I don't have G-SYNC configured for windowed-mode games?

Is there any nvidia control panel global setting to handle UWP games?

There is an official Windows 10 setting though. Go to settings-> Gaming->Graphics Settings (should be on top right). If your monitor has GSYNC or GSYNC Compatible, you should see a switch called Variable refresh rate.
