MSI Optix MAG251RX Motion Blur Tests

Post by xxxtinct » 06 May 2020, 14:52

Youtube compression kinda trash, but I wanted to finally provide this monitor on video.

*EDIT* im having trouble uploading and attaching images, trying to add a pic with the little tag MSI includes on the right side of their monitors.

Man I had a Asus xg248q and I miss the 240hz gameplay. But the colors and gamma shift sucked. Soon I'll get another and it's between this monitor and VG259QM. I feel the vg259qm would be more flexible but the motion test looks good on this monitor even with blurry youtube.

Yeah, adjust for crappy compression, it looks even better than my video makes it (original file size of 4k60fps was too big to upload). I'd suggest this monitor to anybody honestly.

I will also upload my new copy of motion blur test on the MAG251RX, I think I have better camera, watch it in 1080p , watch in fullscreen and wait for good focus, its still not same quality, but its very very similar like you could see in reality

don't for get console gaming. 3ms g2g with around 4-5ms input lag. with around 93% of transitions don't have overshoot. It's the only monitor th at uses its best overdrive setting that can play just as good on console framerates.

the 280s asus whether it's the vg279qm or the vg259qm is just as quick if the framerate is always above 240hz.

sadly, the input lag skyrocket to 30ms in 60hz, and drop to 5-7ms g2g. And you will see yellow/orange tint or phospur giving the monitor a grainy look. Me personally, i wouldn't recommend it, but if it's the only one available for a good price get it.
