So Close To OverClocking Ultrawide Monitor

OK, so i recently purchased this ACER 34 inch 3440x1440 ips 75 hz monitor from costco.
Its a great value too! image quality is fantastic and has freesync built in! and HDR which works great

I knew about display overclocking and after researching i truly believe this is simply a budget acer predator monitor but simply underclocked to sell for in the budget market. Why? Well going into NVIDIA custom Res Mode and inputting 100hz works! it accepts 100hz and runs it BUT something is off with the bandwidth causing frame skipping which then makes it almost pointless, Im not sure how to lower the bandwidth but i am using Display port only. if i can eliminate the frame skip then this means i could have a great budget monitor at 100hz!!!

can someone point me in the right direction? The very fact he monitor accepts 100hz means it has potential!!
id really appreciate any pointers or help !! thank you

Frame skipping of this type is usually unfixable, especially if it's a regular frameskip pattern (e.g. 1 gap for every 3 squares). You can try backing off by 5 Hz increments until the frameskipping disappears.

I will be able to help you much better if you post a photograph of your frameskipping.

I recognize many kinds of common frameskipping patterns, especially if your camera exposure is long enough to capture a couple dozen squares.

I used to have an Acer ultrawide ed34ckr and got it OCed to 125hz at 3440x1440p, make sure you turn off freesync or adjust it in CRU, but I'd turn it off, also you only have 250nits so might as well turn off hdr. Let me look over it and maybe I can find something on it and I'll get back to you. You should try it at 2560x1080p and see what you can max it out at too

It has pip/pbp, see if it supports two different connections, also it has a displayport format in osd, true to put it to 1.4, also there's a low latency mode. You might have to turn off hdr and freesync in osd. Srgb mode sometimes messed with mine too, and you'll have to use the custom display mode or graphic one too I believe. Also Acer display widget might help with pbp/pip that is on the software page for your monitor. I had to reduce bandwidth in CRU also to completely max out refresh rate. You should be able to go up until the osd says out of range, but make sure you try different timings as well when it does just in case because they are finicky
