same, it's not working properly for me, persistence is changing crosstalk area, and crosstalk area is changing persistence when using the app. with the different min and max values, it doesn't work well at all.Dirty Scrubz wrote: ↑20 Jul 2020, 17:57Yah the utility works fine with the xl2746S. The xl2546S uses a different panel and scalar so that might be why the utility isn’t working properly. Maybe Chief BB can update it since he created it.

kigsuha, you're talking about the xl2546s right?kigsuha wrote: ↑20 Jul 2020, 20:06same, it's not working properly for me, persistence is changing crosstalk area, and crosstalk area is changing persistence when using the app. with the different min and max values, it doesn't work well at all.Dirty Scrubz wrote: ↑20 Jul 2020, 17:57Yah the utility works fine with the xl2746S. Since I have used the application by mistake, how can I make sure to undo any changes it might have done? It probably wrote into the wrong registers for the XL2546s and I'm worried i might still be using a config different from the default.

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S & XL2546S (*DISCONTINUED*) Owners Thread
For anyone wondering, the upcoming "XL2546K" BenQ model is already on AMD's FreeSync Monitor's page, and you can definitely trust this website as both the XL2546S and XL2746S were on there weeks before they were even announced by BenQ.
So apparently it's a 24.0" TN panel and not a 24.5" like that Chinese website says, so perhaps any other information there regarding these new models might be false as well (like the product pictures). Nothing about the XL2411K yet though so idk.Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S & XL2546S (*DISCONTINUED*) Owners Thread
Heres a video of the XL2546S Ufo testnexina7350 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2020, 13:10If you have a few minutes, could you run the testufo ghosting test with dyac+ on at 240hz, and compare with the results in the videos from the original post of this thread? Here is a direct link to the test: https://www.testufo.com/ghosting. Here is a link to the video I'm talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UptZUPD ... =emb_title. Maybe this is caused by youtube video compression, but on my XL2546S I see a bit more crosstalk than what is shown in the videos.PMaestro wrote: ↑20 Jul 2020, 10:59Yeah i received my xl2546s also and after abit of tweaking the colours are not that bad for a TN panel but still not on IPS levels i would say.
i think it does feel ever so slightly more responsive but in terms of motion blur im not sure i can tell a big difference. I play a lot of FPS games also. I think i might return it and stick with my VG259QM. im going to game with it abit more and see but i don't see much of a difference in motion clarity and ghosting.

Woah is this likely to be accurate? TN and a smaller 24 inch is weird if its smaller than what it currently is now. I’m confused how this is an upgrade since it doesn’t sound any better than the current xl2546 (unless Freesync Premium is the only extra?)michaelcycle00 wrote: ↑21 Jul 2020, 16:46For anyone wondering, the upcoming "XL2546K" BenQ model is already on AMD's FreeSync Monitor's page, and you can definitely trust this website as both the XL2546S and XL2746S were on there weeks before they were even announced by BenQ.

I was about to buy an xl2546 but am now holding off due to this mysterious K model....
Also I’m from Australia and am curious if any fellow aussies know how delayed things are available in Aus compared to the rest of the world? If it releases in the USA in September does that mean australians might not get it till months after or even next year?
Cheers!

They are pretty much the same. Subtle differences.

Hmmm I’m deciding between the xl2546 and the xl2546s with 200 Australian dollars difference between them. I’m guessing if you can’t tell much of a difference might as well just go xl2546 and save a few hundred?Tom Clancy's E-sport wrote: ↑22 Jul 2020, 16:52
XL2546s left and XL2546 right.

Can you take a tracking video of them side by side?

Please Help Blur Busters Improve Strobe UtilityDirty Scrubz wrote: ↑20 Jul 2020, 17:57Yah the utility works fine with the xl2746S. The xl2546S uses a different panel and scalar so that might be why the utility isn’t working properly. Maybe Chief BB can update it since he created it.
If you can do me a favour:
Try hitting the "F" key and forcing a different BenQ monitor onto your XL2546S. If it works, please inform me which BenQ monitor the XL2546S successfully uses (for Persistence / Crosstalk). Failing this, one can try to track them down through experimentation with Entech Taiwan's SoftMCCS.exe
Open the C:\Program Files (x86)\Blur Busters\Blur Busters Strobe Util\BlurBustersStrobeUtility.ini file and try creating a new section specifically for the XL2546S.
You can use Entech Taiwan's SoftMCCS.exe to help with adding new monitor models to BlurBustersStrobeUtility.ini configuration file (Yes, it's an old-fashioned INI file; debugging is easier this way for this kind of stuff).
For easier automatic detection of the model names missing from the INI file, I need the plug-n-play device ID's from Entech Taiwan SoftMCCS (such as "BNQ74F6") of all the separate ports (HDMI, DP, VGA), I use a regex/wildcard for this.
Email this information to mark[at]blurbusters.com too.
Thank you!
