Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

What are the best settings for lower frame rates like 75hz-90hz? is there one with minimum crosstalk? i cant get 120fps locked in all games yet.

These refresh rate ranges will use the strobe tuning applied to 75 Hz and are already pretty low crosstalk already -- it should be lower crosstalk than both 100Hz, 119Hz and 120Hz.

Indeed, for motion-clarity priority, you want to get your game motion as smooth as possible. The easiest way to do this for strobed motion fluidity is ensure your refresh rate enables framerate=Hz operation (switch to a Hz that's the valley of your framerate range for a specific game), then using VSYNC ON, using high mouse DPI (at least 1600dpi, preferably 3200dpi) and lowering in-game sensitivity to compensate (keep Windows sensitivity centered).

If you want to reduce input lag while using VSYNC ON -- there is Low-Lag VSYNC HOWTO (Intermediate), as well as the hard RTSS Scanline Sync (Advanced).

For latency priority (worse crosstalk but lower lag), you can try 180Hz or 224Hz + PureXP

changing the VT at 119hz does make the "Normal" PureXP mode usable in the day time, its great.

With 75hz I think its usable at "Extreme" which can be dim in the day but at night its fine.

Still not getting the firmware update in the elite display controller with the cable firmly connected. I've tried reinstalling the program, resetting all my monitor settingss to default, etc. I just don't know what to do anymore.

For me, I use Extreme during the day and Ultra at night. I don't like my monitor too bright. xD

Also for some reason i dont have G-Sync option in my NVCP. I saw someone mentioned the same problem. Was anyone able to fix that?
My monitor driver version is 1.0.0.0 from 18.09.2019. I dont know where to get a newer one if there is. This one was from the viewsonic site for windows 7.
To answer my own question. Apparently there's no g-sync support in windows 7 nvidia drivers. I couldnt even think its possible.

Do you have levels for PureXP in your monitor menu?

Yeah, looks like only native G-Sync is supported in Windows 7 by nvidia. FreeSync is not. That's unfortunate :-/

Is there any 27" 1440p monitor with PureXP or any other strobing? I'm still using my 1080p BenQ XL2720Z.. Getting tired of how crappy 1080p looks on modern games... It's like most games from the last 3 or 4 years look worse at 1080p than 720p looked on older games.

But I need something to remove the blur, gives me headaches and I don't want to go back to that.

Has anyone heard anything from Viewsonic on the EDC fix? I know Chief said he escalated the issue, but haven't heard a follow up?

AOC AG273QZ 27" TN 1440p 240Hz has strobe mode, there are review at TFTCentral.

The bad 1080 look i think is due mainly to aliasing and shimmering, but if you set high quality Anti-Aliasing, with at least 4 samples, you can improve to much. DSR for Nvidia do a god job, but only 2x2 supersampling at max quality. Supersampling hide modes can be enabled using Nvidia Inspector (only for Nvidia GPU) 4x4 and combined mode SS+MSAA. Also temporal AA modes. But temporal AA add input lag !

The more quality AA, looks better. No AA Vs high quality AA difference is like day and night. Even you can feel it more sharp that 1440p monitor without AA.
