Samsung G7 and ULMB

Ask about motion blur reduction in gaming monitors. Includes ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur), NVIDIA LightBoost, ASUS ELMB, BenQ/Zowie DyAc, Turbo240, ToastyX Strobelight, etc.

Samsung G7 and ULMB

Post by aveee » 30 Jul 2020, 07:15

Hello guys,

Did anyone test the new Samsung G7 (27 or 32) with ULMB in mind?

Would love to know the max refresh rate in this mode and how well it handles the blur reduction.

Thanks!

hi, I have tested the Dell AW2518H agaisnt other monitors that use ULMB and have found that the dell handles motion the best, i am going to buy the G7 in a few days, and will let you know how it compares.

Thanks @landonion !
I've seen tftcentral review on the G7 and it seems very responsive for a VA monitor, but the native Blur Reduction mode seems broken at any other refresh rate than 240hz.

I don't know if it will manage better with ULMB.

I'm eager to see Acer XB273u GX which is now annonced to reach WQHD at 270hz (oc) and if they provide somekind of blur reduction mode also.

I currently have both acer XB270hu and Zowie 2546 and love the DyAc behavior at 182h on the last one, but prefere resolution and image quality on the acer, so I'm interested in G7 27" or xb273u-gx.
