Who compared them side by side? You took it from different sources and u claim by your estimate that asus is better? Hahah come on. If u wanna justify purchase of asus just dont and just buy it. Dont make claims like that. Maybe some of the others 360hz mmonitors will do a better job. Be patient. But for now what i saw from asus...its bad since we re talking 360.LikeableSloth wrote: ↑11 Sep 2020, 22:24Literally I took two chrome tabs of one alien speed test of the Zowie and one of the asus and went back and forth picking them apart and the Asus had the worst smearing from black but it still looks better than 240 dyac.

you're taking this way too personal. so petty.LikeableSloth wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 00:01my friend you will eat your words come release date ,im going to come back to gloat
the only thing i care about is an adequate comparisons. once i see that 360hz beats 240hz dyac+ 2-3 folds, ill agree with you that 360hz is SO MUCH BETTER.
till then...chillax and wait for the reviews.

Gloating on the internet doesn't mean your making this personal and also why are you saying 2x3 fold? Why are you holding such high standards on the 360hx if you said it in reverse because you liked the colours, black uniformity angles of the IPS I'd understand but literally 99 percent of people would want a TN if there was a IPS that was slightly worse but in this case the IPS is better and you'll see

Re: Asus PG259QN 360hz Monitor
Getting it without gsync would mean losing that nvidia calibrated overdrive, ulmb tuning and nvidia reflex. It would be stupid imo to buy a version of this display without gsync.
Re: Asus PG259QN 360hz Monitor
There's no need for Gsync at such high fps, all it does it cause some input delay and stop stuttering even though you shouldn't have stutters if your fps is high and constant, no pros use it. the ULMB and calibrated OD, not really needed either, if you're buying a 360hz monitor you should pretty much have hardware to support fps in the 300's so no real need for that either. And we don't even know if Nvidia Reflex is good yet, could be a gimmick. I'd rather save $100-150 and lose those features I will never use.Dirty Scrubz wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 14:42Getting it without gsync would mean losing that nvidia calibrated overdrive, ulmb tuning and nvidia reflex. For a lower hz monitor or 1440p it's nice to have for single player games where fps can be all over the place.

I think most people who buy this monitor will only end up using g sync will be on games that are capped at a certain FPS like 30,60 or 144 and I thought the native g sync has way better input lag than the compatible ones?
This 360hz is $700 and the best 1440p 144hz monitors are the dell s2721dgf vs lg 27gl850 and are around $400-$450 I think the best for 99 percent of normal customers would be the 1440p 144hz monitors but why not both ahaha
Re: Asus PG259QN 360hz Monitor
I think most that buy this won't be playing much 60 fps games, like I said there's way more people playing low fps games because on the current 1440p monitors where they don't care as much and think 60 is perfectly fine as long as the graphics look great.LikeableSloth wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 22:56Stevie66 wrote: ↑12 Sep 2020, 15:09There's no need for Gsync at such high fps, all it does it cause some input delay and stop stuttering even though you shouldn't have stutters if your fps is high and constant, no pros use it. the ULMB and calibrated OD, not really needed either, if you're buying a 360hz monitor you should pretty much have hardware to support fps in the 300's so no real need for that either. Sure there will be some using GSync on this monitor if it's their only monitor and use it for more than esports games(probably people that don't have the hardware to be well above 200 fps at all times too), but in my opinion I'd rather save money and have no Gsync at 360hz, it's not needed at all, it's not needed at a solid 240hz either as the tears are so minimal and I've never experienced stutters when I'm in the 240 fps range. I'm sure there will be Freesync models anyway down the road so no big deal.
Re: Asus PG259QN 360hz Monitor
Asus doesn't have a clue when these will be available at retail. Wish they'd have more details on availability.
