Got it on my Alienware, not on my Asus yet, for some reason I haven't seen anyone complain about it on the Asus just the Acer Alienware and MSI

I can replicate it on my Asus only with UfoTests or Frog Pursuit but I've never had any image retention after gaming sessions.

I'm torn between using ingame TSAA/FXAA/MXAA + Vividpixel or disabling every form of anti aliasing and playing with VividPixel OFF.
What are you guys using?

I'm on vividpixel 25 and I find it to be pretty nice (all in game AA off for FPS's sake)

Just got my VG259QM, adaptive sync off, elmb sync on, the screen is still so damn bright and I'm able to control the brightness still? didn't know I can do that, I put it to around 40 with elmb and it's so much brighter than my MSI MAG.
Tested some OD 80 and OD 120, and 120 is definitally better though playing fast paced shooters I'm not noticing much issues with OD 80, dark maps I can notice some, not horrible but it's there, sure it's ugly on the ufo test but in game it's not so bad yet from my short testing.
Besides ELMB being brighter on the ASUS, how does the ASUS stack up against the MSI in terms of motion-clarity when ELMB is off? Also, did you find out that OD120 looks like MSI's fastest OD as you had predicted?

Overall I prefer the Asus, OD120 is what I'm going to be using now over 200hz, Fastest is what I used on the MSI but OD120 looks a little better to me maybe it's the extra 40hz maybe not. I'm sticking with the Asus... if my 360hz Asus doesn't get cancelled

OD120 is very consistent above 200hz, I play with with OD120 and Adaptive Sync ON at 280hz with 275fps cap, I don't notice any increase in overshoot when dipping as low as 210fps during intense fight, which is great, and Freesync support seems very good(even tho it's not freesync certified), I don't even notice when the fps drops compared to my old XG2402 where I massively noticed when my fps used to dip to 120 from the 141fps cap.

OD80 does look a little bit better but sometime the overshoot completely throw me off during medium-fast movements like for example when I make a 200° turn and I have no idea where I'm looking at the end of the movement because the overshoot smeared the reference points during the turn.

The benefits of 280hz are not something you instantly notice when swapping between 240 and 280 but once you get used to 280hz and you switch back to 240 you instantly notice that something feels off, it might be the faster scanout or the lower image persistence.

Btw there's a new review from Tom's Hardware: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/asus-tuf-vg259qm

Input lag is apparently lower than the Omen X 25f (that has been considered one of the best in terms of input lag) and the XN253Q, they didn't really test many 240hz at all and their input lag tests are not as precise or as complex as RTings/tftcentral/pcmonitor...

Yeah Rtings shows the input lag is extremely low few .mm difference than the 27" version where Hardware Unboxed showed that one also really low.
