so I'm using my monitors 50/50 for office/games. Games consisting of mostly cs:go and other fps.
I'm very sensitive to hz and moving picture artifacts that others can't see. Had my brother, gf and kids tell me they can't see it, all younger than me
Coming from a Samsung Syncmaster 2233 120hz which I used for about 10 years, I went to a AOC 24G2U/BK last year. Nice colours, but the panel is way too slow for me. Not to mention the background bleeding.
Next up was an AOC AG251FG. 240hz is nice, the right direction for me, but that pixel inversion, I've never seen anything like that. And Input/reaction times didn't seem to be very fast for 240hz.
Onto new adventures, I ordered an Asus VG278QR. I can feel the good input/reaction, BUT I tried different settings for hours and can't seem to find the right ones. I can see pixel inversion in games or, depending on the settings the OVERSHOOT OF DEATH. I can also see it in the webbrowser. Basically what notty described in his posts about this monitor or the smaller equivalent.
So here I am, having tested several monitors, being unhappy with all of them.
What I need is:
- fast respond times
- minimum 144hz
- moving picture quality/clarity
What's not important:
- g-sync/freesync (I don't use it)
- colours ("TN panels are fine for me")
- brand, gimmicks, etc.
- higher resolution than fhd
Please help me, I've never been so clueless in my 25 years of computers.
Cheers
