The default resolutions detected by my nvidia driver are all GPU-scaled. This can be verified in the display menu which shows 1920x1080, no matter what resolution or what scaling method is chosen in the nvidia control panel. This adds a significant lag for my gameplay even at 240hz. Creating custom resolution can resolve this - select either GTF or CVT timing.

Another thing is that although overdrive works well in 1920x1080@280, it flickers in 1152x864@280 (the resolution I needed), so I ended up using 1152x864@240.
Hey, can you help me to get this Monitor worked on Display scaling instead GPU scaling? i am on AMD and when i select custom resolution i cant select cvt or something else. It says that the Monitor is Not compatible with these settings. i also selected only the native Resolution in CRU. Thank you.

How do you guys fix slow (2-3 seconds) alt tabbing from fullscreen applications to the desktop and also back into the application such as a game? It takes like 3 seconds for the monitor to switch. I haven't had this issue with my XL2411Z. Whenever i was playing CSGO it was pretty much instant to switch to the desktop and back into the game. This monitor seems to basically shut down for a bit before showing the game :/

I found no fix for this during my time of ownership.
It seems to be slightly worse with ELMB enabled but even having it disabled results in a ~2 second delay when tabbing in/out of game.

I'm having a little trouble finding the best monitor for me right now;

I'm looking for a IPS 240hz and there's two options here in my country:

VG259QM vs VG279QM

In promosale they're the same price, but I've read about the PPI thing and the 27 inchs is bad for 1080p.

I'll play FPS and MOBA games cuz I already have a 4k 120hz Tv for triple AAA

Is it a wiser choice the 24 inch for 1080p?

This is the mode-change blackout (FreeSync ON/OFF, or ULMB ON/OFF, or Hz-change).

The only way to avoid this the 1920x1078 trick.
1. Create a 1920x1078 resolution via ToastyX (not NVIDIA), reduce resolution by 1 or 2 pixels, and increase vertical porch by 1 or 2 pixels to compensate.
2. Give it only ONE refresh rate.
3. Configure Windows desktop to that resolution
4. Configure Game to that resolution
5. Voila!

This also works with 1918x1080 or 1920x1079 -- it just have to be different from 1920x1080, and created via ToastyX (not NVIDIA Control Panel) and you have to make sure you create only one refresh rate.

Strange....when I switch from game (CS:GO) to desktop it happens instantly.

I saw one of these on amazon going for a good price but it was "used", I bought it and then cancelled the next day. Did I do the right thing? I just see so many complaints of backlight bleed and dodgy pixels that I didn't want to play the lottery with a used IPS.

I pretty much only care about responsiveness and motion clarity in FPS games, for nov 2020 would you say this is still one of the best choices? I was choosing between this and a TN like the Acer nitro 252 (can't remember the name).

Only thing I'm not liking about this monitor is how long it takes to alt tab in and out of games, sometimes it takes so long that it loses signal and turns off and I have to turn it back on.

When you type mat_info into csgo console does it show 1920x1080 at 280hz?

I didn't mean in CSGO specifically but in pretty much all games I play it's slow
