Ok, thats good to hear, i guess =P Strange that they dont have fixed that in some new nvidia driver. But g-sync works perfect, or?Joel D wrote: ↑20 Nov 2020, 14:43Yea that's the way it is for everyone. I think just some cosmetic issue on nvidias parts really.Pigall wrote: ↑20 Nov 2020, 11:01I just got this monitor and it looks realy nice. But when i enable Gsync in ncp it says its not validated. I bought this monitor just to get a validated gsync monitor (it is listed on nvidias homepage). Is it just my unit or does anyone else have this "bug". I got an RTX 2070S so i know it should work.

Re: The Official *MSI Optix MAG251RX* Owners Thread
I have an other question also. What the talk about CRU and the display is not showing ”native” resolution and therfore making image blurry. What i can see is that i have an option to chose ”1080p native pc” in ncp.
Re: The Official *MSI Optix MAG251RX* Owners Thread
I think it still works perfect. IDK cause I only tried G-Sync once, didn't notice a difference cause my game was already flawless.. so I went back to normal.
As far as CRU. I am unsure about "image less blurry" and unsure the issues of doing it the way you mention. I just followed others recommendations here. lol I'm not really that advanced

How it works ? can you explain pls?RLCScontender wrote: ↑14 Jun 2020, 02:55
4. controlmymonitor app allows you to adjust the brightness level when you intend to use backlight strobing. Unfortuntaely, the msi mag251rx LOCKS the brightness setting if you turn on backlight strobing. the best way to get around this is using this link
https://downzen.com/en/windows/controlmymonitor/
download it and you can adjust the brightess even if backlight strobing is on. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE.
Antoher way to increase the brightness if you intend to use backlight strobing is through nvidia control panel. Set the brightness from 50 to 70 and you're set. The problem with this is, it may mess with the accuracy of the colors. But this is the faster way.

Yeahr the same on me
Re: The Official *MSI Optix MAG251RX* Owners Thread
So you put the ulmb 24/7?purplew wrote: ↑01 Sep 2020, 06:18Just to update:
It's been said many times that turning strobing/ULMB ON with this monitor makes it too dim, but that's not true. These past couple days I've been playing cod:MW with strobing and it's actually perfect, you don't need more brightness. It just takes a couple days to adapt (especially if you come from a super bright display) but even with a well lit room I feel it's completely fine. The added motion blur clarity is really worth it.
Re: The Official *MSI Optix MAG251RX* Owners Thread
Hey guys.
Two days ago I bought new 240hz MSI Optix MAG251RX, switched from 144hz curved Samsung. MSI looks and works pretty good but I'm not sure what settings should I set to get maximum performance in CSGO.
Currently I'm on FPS mode with "fastest" response time, "strongest" black equalizer, "weak" image enchancer, boosted contact and brightness. Not sure what I should do with "HDCR" and "anti motion blur". These sounds useful but in game like CSGO that could make some input lag or something.
Could anyone share their settings? Will really appreciate it!

Re: The Official *MSI Optix MAG251RX* Owners Thread
Test it by yourself in game with bots. Seriously, don't trust anyone if this is about input lag. There is not so much settings, so you will not waste many hours testing it. But for me - black EQ, image enhancer, HDCR, anti-motion blur -just big nope, my aim become bad with any of this settings (HDCR useless). And also - don't plan to use msi software, so much bloatware.frixiak wrote: ↑07 Dec 2020, 09:06Hey guys.
