Blur reduction on BENQ 144Hz monitor

Post by kneecola » 02 Dec 2020, 17:50

Hello everyone,

I recently got a Zowie XL2411P 144Hz monitor. After looking up best calibration settings I stumbled on a Reddit guide on using Blur Busters Strobe Utility to remove motion blur.

The guide said to use 120Hz with VT Tweak, but to reach the point of no motion blur on the UFO test, I have to set persistence to 14, and at that level, the screen is way too dim.

I experimented with the settings and I found out that by using 144Hz with no VT tweak and setting the persistence to 25, I got pretty much the same result on the UFO test, but the screen is acceptably bright now. Just wanted to see if there's anything different I should do for the display, or some other method that provides better results?

Thanks
