Looking for guide to reducing blur on non-VRR displays

Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Looking for guide to reducing blur on non-VRR displays

Post by oneils » 22 Dec 2020, 12:41

I have a gsync compatible monitor, and this website has been awesome in helping me understand how to best configure games to run on it.

But I also, sometimes, hook my pc up to 60hz tvs.

I was wondering if anyone here knows of a decent guide to follow to make gameplay on a 60hz display as smooth as possible.

Should I basically configure games so that I can get a minimum of 60fps with vsync on? Is that it?

Any input appreciated!

edit: found these two guides on this site:
low lag vsync: can't link to it?
scanline sync: https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopi ... =70#p36230

also found a scanline sync guide that is more for dummies that has a good walkthrough but not allowed to link to it.
