So I got this Dell 27 Gaming Monitor | S2721DGFA, and I really love it.
However, I noticed today that I haven't enabled g sync, so I did.
However, I immediately noticed I fast began to get eye strain. Is this normal or should g sync not affect this in any way?
Can it be something else?

Interessting.
I had to sell my DELL 2721dgf because of eyestrain, but I always had g-sync enabled. I thaught it's the nano ips panel, but I found out, that it also uses PWM/flickering (on very high HZ tho).

It is most likely the wide color gamut from the Nano-IPS panel, many people have had problems with these monitors. I'd recommend returning it for the 27GL83A-B which uses a normal IPS panel instead.

Both the Dell and the LG use the exact same panel, it's just the LG is clamped to sRGB by default.

Sorry to be this guy, but have you tried turning the backlight down?
