Mouse latency test reveals 2x higher latency than normal, what do I do?

So I ordered a lenovo mouse to modify into a input lag testing device. The device was pretty simple, it's the same concept that's been used a number of times before consisting of an led that lights up when the left mouse button is clicked, this method is the same method that the youtuber "Battlenonsense" uses in all his input lag testing videos.

My setup is using a 144hz monitor, with fps uncapped in game, and all settings in CSGO were set to the lowest pretty much, and vsync was off of course, so was gysnc. And the monitor was also in game mode. And for the camera I was using my Samsung S10e phone recording at 960fps, not quite 1000 but it should still do right?

My results were pretty disappointing, I was measuring an average of around 35ms, with my setup I should've been getting around 16ms in CSGO. I thought that there was no way that these results could've been right and that it must've been the mouse, it was a crappy lenovo 300 usb mouse that I got for $10 CDN of ebay. So I ordered a logitech g203 gaming mouse off of amazon to sacrifice. The results were pretty much the same, I measured an average of 31.4ms. And by the way, it's important that I mention this; being that I'm recording at 960 instead of 1000fps, I multiplied the number of frames I counted by (1000/960)= 1.0416... This way each frame that I count is equal to 1ms.

Now what could be causing this high latency, could it be do to me recording at 960fps instead of 1000fps? or is there something wrong with my system:
i7 9700k
RTX 2070
16gb DDR4 @3200Mhz
1tb ssd
1tb hdd

No, it's not the framerate difference.

What is the model of your monitor?

What sync setting are you using? VSYNC OFF in Full Screen Exclusive (not borderless windowed)?

Can you post a video so we can inspect what is going on?

My monitor is the AOC g2590fx, using a display port. How do I add a video, I can't link it.

And no it's not in windowed, I play all my games in true fullscreen.

does FSO gives you input lag? and is csgo running in fso also ?

It's a bit worse than mine, I measured mine at about 40ms, and I've got a ryzen 3600 4.2ghz, 2060 super @1650mhz and tridentz ddr4 RAM with xmp enabled.
But I used my keyboard to measure, that generally gives slightly worse results, also my monitor is 120hz not 144hz.

I assume you've optimised your windows right? If yes then I'm not really sure, sometimes people on here say they've got like 20ms input lag, and I'm like wtf, how'd they get that? My best guess is the CPU difference as the ryzen 3000s series has some problems with that, but here you are having a similar problem.

What's your clock speeds on your CPU and GPU btw? The difference between 4GHz and 5Ghz can give you like extra 4ms+, similar situation with GPU too.
Try fixing your clock to 5GHz, if you can, and fix your GPU clock too, maybe your CPU/GPU was boosting down when in CSGO cause that game isn't really that demanding? You can disable hyperthreading to be able to boost clock speed even higher.

recordings by smartphone can't be trusted because these 500+ fps aren't real. it's interpolation.

I disagree, using the 720p 480fps slow motion feature of my OP6 while recoding the XL2546K (at 240hz) with strobing enabled shows 1 frame with each black frame, this means that every single frame is real and not interpolated, if it was interpolated I would get something like 2:1/3:1 Black frame/Displayed image ratio.

I'm using the standard Oxygen OS camera so it could be possible that other camera applications have implemented some form of interpolation, after all I only tried slow motion with a single device.

phpBB [video]

Also the game was at 300fps. And the samsung camera records 0.4s @960fps and then plays it back at 30fps, I don't know if that had anything to do with it. And sorry the video won't display, you'll have to click the link.
