Define "Faster".

Assuming same GtG pixel response time & similar panel processing latency (the tapedelay latency component), the refresh rate difference has benefits:

160fps at 240Hz has less latency than 160fps at 144Hz
160fps at 240Hz has less visible tearing than 160fps at 144Hz

There are caveats though, some panels can do a terrible job (for various reasons) at lower refresh rates. But that is not always the case for every single 240Hz monitor model.

I see.

I'll probably get my new PC soon (thinking I7 11700K when its out w/ RTX 3070 (or 80, depends on the price by then) .. and then Im gonna need some help choosing between XL2546K or the PG259QN for FPS :)

untill then, 144hz is my friend..
