Idk man. From my experience I would call it a placebo too.
Better response times (without overshoot) should always result in better motion clarity, not necessarily aim. It's just that the difference in overdrives is so small when gaming that the mind has to make sense out of it.
But I would guess overshoot can distract and make you aim worse.

Couldn't it be because of the hz?
maybe for 240hz is best 80
144 maybe no.
or well the question is that so he hit more normal again.

that is if it is a super sharp monitor.

I have a question because i have no experiance with that, i have a new Monitor, it the ASUS VG279QM.
I have FPS between 100 to 200.
I have set the Hz to 280 with G-Sync ON.
My question is,
what Overdrive mode i need to use for good Response Time and Low Ghosting/Blur ?
