Glad to hear, that the problem isn't my imagination. Turning off sound truly gives astonishing performance. Maybe there are more guys who faced this and found some interesting solution.

actually sound off in headset + in windows + in game = completely fixes my all hitreg and recoil problems. COMPLETELY. It's not even in cs, its in all fps shooters, especially in valorant. it feels like recoil is completely different, not shaky, steady, all bullets goes straight, hitreg is ideal, I dont even need to disable it in bios or device manager. just down volume xd. Literally no idea how to fix this..

High definition audio will make ur mouse more responsive, but hitreg will be a little bit off. with realtek driver games become with heavy, sluggish car feeling, but hitreg is way more better. I would choose 1st one for lol, and mmorpg games, and 2nd for fps shooters. Test both, keep in mind what I said and make choice which one is better for you.

I have the same. This is completely different experience because I don't have to clench my buttocks to kill somebody. Also received a reply from valve and they ask for net_graph so I am not going to bother myself with them.

PS. Try also lowering your sound quality to 8000 Hz and force turning off all enhancements. Doesn't sound good but still better than no sound at all. It significantly reduced stutters while shooting.

You are wasting time with steam support, I tried to contact them many years ago. They will ask your net_graph picture and then they will blame the server for issues. Same story like always. Sadly, my lowest sound hz that I can choose is 44100.. I would like to test 8000, but cant..

Hey guys. I confirm that the Microsoft HD audio driver makes the mouse a bit smoother and also more responsive. Also realtek driver will make mouse behave different. While I made a thread about this I want to share that I tried the custom generic realtek uad driver, (latest version with improved performance) and it made a difference compared to the older drivers. The pistol shooting is improved.

I noticed that when you fire the p250 you can't empty a full mag fast with realtek drivers, try it yourself compare with Microsoft driver or external USB card. It's a big difference. And also the ak47 taps is a bit different. R_ dynamic doesn't seem to help either.

I still aim better with realtek driver because of muscle memory... I guess it's because I am so used to the mouse feeling with it for all these years...

But seriously acreal, try to empty a mag fast with p250 or five seven...

I can also confirm that the hitreg seems off with Microsoft drivers, and also the positional sound is off as well. And the silencer USP sound range is shorter compared to the real Tek or other soundcards. I've tested this with listen server and snd_show 1 and other cheat cvars....
