I was surprised that modern LCD TVs can have pixel response times as bad as 18ms.

Most modern LCD TVs have VA-type panels, which can easily reach 18ms with certain GtG transition, especially transitions at the darker end of the spectrum.

There are a few VA panel types in the gaming monitor market that are faster, however. Many of the newer IPS-type 240Hz+ LCD gaming panels have much faster pixel transitions than the majority of LCD gaming TVs as well.

But yes, it's good he's exposing more viewers to what we've known here for many years now.
