How is this 10 bpc when this is a 6 bit + FRC monitor? That's what Chief said in an earlier post. Was he mistaken? Is this an 8 bit + FRC monitor (8 bpc, 10 bpc with FRC mode?)Marlen wrote: ↑16 Jan 2022, 19:04So, today I've decided to make proper color calibration of every PureXP setting and also turned off, there's 2 modes one with digital vibrance from nvidia control panel, and one without.
Almost all settings on monitor are default, but the Color Temp is changed to > User Color, which settings will be set, you will find in each ICC profile respectively. Response time is "Advanced". Color Space > RGB. Color Range > Full Range.
First I will upload profiles without digital vibrance. Next post will be profiles with digital vibrance 77% in nvidia control panel.
Dynamic range > full range (0-255) and color depth is 10bpc for both variants in nvidia control panel.
Calibration is made in DisplayCal using i1Display Pro Plus.
Edit: download both part 1 and part 2 archives to be able to extract them normally.
Profiles and settings included files:

Probably it is how Chief said, but in NVControlPanel side it will provide maximum available cap. Or maybe it’s NVIDIA driver bug, cause there was no option of 10bpc until recently.

For whatever reason, I reinstalled W11 and the colors of the displays have really improved. I didn't have any custom color profiles loaded or anything else that I think could interfere with the colors, so kind of odd. I was seeing gradient banding before in the W11 stock wallpapers, now it's smooth with no banding and colors have more pop overall on the same wallpaper. Maybe some odd setting from previous monitor was messing something up, I have no idea.

I posted a new thread and had zero responses so wanted to put this here:
Viewsonic XG2431 Image Retention
Has anybody had this issue? I was using the viewsonic strobe utility tuner and when I closed my game I had the left side of my monitor retain the provided image.
I have tried resetting the monitor using the recall, reset cru to stock. Unplugged power etc...
I am going to reach out to viewsonic but I am pretty disappointed.

I've heard the XG2431 has 0-100 response time adjustment. Is this true for nonstrobed use or only accesible with strobing?
also, is there new info on an european release?

I heard people saying it has the same panel as the XG249CM you have, and it does not have 0-100 response time for non strobed it has only 3 levels. You also said the xg249cm is slow, so id say for fast panel just stick with your 288hz monitor.

Hi! So my XG2431 will arrive in a few days. I'm currently using an AOC G2590PX it's a 144hz TN Panel monitor. Do you guys know what improvements should I be expecting from my upgrade to the XG2431? This is my first time trying Viewsonic because I've been an AOC fanboy since I started gaming. Thank youuu!

Does this monitor have better strobing at 75Hz than the older Benq XL2720Z (also called Zowie 2720)? Is it also brighter than (or just as bright as) the 2720 when strobing at 75Hz?
I'm just wondering if I should go for this or the XL2546K when upgrading from my 2720. I will always be strobing and always at 75Hz.
Also, I will connect it through HDMI. Will that put any limitations on my use case?
