HPET Problem

Hello, I have a question that may be silly, but is it normal that when I activate HPET in windows, my pc completely lag and almost froze, I can't even open a web page without it lagging, when I hover over an icon of the desktop, it takes time, and when I check on WinTimerTester with HPET on I have 24 of QueryPerformanceFrequency and 10 with HPET off, same on TimerBench.

For those who want to know why I'm trying to put hpet , it's that I have desync problems in games and I'm trying different tracks to try to find the solution.

Top 3 placebos:
- HPET,
- YouTube internet connection tweaks,
- resetting CMOS.

Ask NiKo and s1mple what HPET settings do they have.

Yeah , maybe it's a placebo, but that still doesn't answer my question, knowing whether or not it's a placebo doesn't change my problem that I wrote above

Why is it normal ? noawdays we cant even have access to HPET in bios its hidden and ON by default so enabeling it in windows shouldn't make everything lag ?

Yeah thats the thing, too many trolls on this forum... only very few people who are really dedicated unfortunately
