BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN
I heard that this monitor is smoother at lower fps (below 300) than Acer Nitro XV252QF, both with DyAc/VRB enabled of course. Is it true?

I just bought the XL2546K.
I never used the Strobe Utility for Calibration of BenQ/Zowie Blur Reduction before. I am afraid I might mess up the monitor with this utility. Is it totally worth it to give this utility a try?

You cannot mess up the monitor with this utility. It's completely impossible.
The monitor can always be completely reset to defaults with the OSD option "Reset all" as well.

I installed v2.0.9. for my XL2546K
I run it as admin on Win 11. DDC/CI is on. Dyac is on premium.
I still get the error unable to initialize ddc/ci for this monitor. ( Zowie XL LCD)
Is there a quick fix?

Guys I am a little confused about Dyac+ and cappping your fps. In Apex Legends I can get a stable 299 fps with my 12900k and a 3080 TI. Does the DYAC+ works just as good on my XL2546K with Apex capped at 299 fps as with Apex capped at 240? In PUBG my fps is uncapped. does it still uses DYAC in the best way possible?

Don't cap below 240hz. the ideal scenario would be a decimal-precise fps cap (like with RTSS) at 240, alternatively you can use the ingame fps cap but it's more sensible to fps variations and inconsistencies with the benefit of lower latency than a 3rd party fps limiter.daviddave1 wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 07:39Guys I am a little confused about Dyac+ and cappping your fps. Personally I would just stick to uncapped, especially if you can achieve 299fps consistently, as long as you can handle some screen tearing.

ty for the answer. someone confused me by saying uncapped fps makes the Dyac not work ( optimal) do you maybe like to elaborate on that? I am asking cause of PUBG where my fps fluctuates from 180 to 410.axaro1 wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 09:51Don't cap below 240hz. the ideal scenario would be a decimal-precise fps cap (like with RTSS) at 240, alternatively you can use the ingame fps cap but it's more sensible to fps variations and inconsistencies with the benefit of lower latency than a 3rd party fps limiter.daviddave1 wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 07:39Guys I am a little confused about Dyac+ and cappping your fps. I explain why you don't want fps<refresh rate here: viewtopic.php?p=80379#p80379daviddave1 wrote: ↑05 May 2022, 10:39ty for the answer. someone confused me by saying uncapped fps makes the Dyac not work ( optimal) do you maybe like to elaborate on that? this is relevant with every form of motion blur reduction, Dyac being one of them.
fps<strobing frequency: bad
fps=strobing frequency: perfect ideal scenario
fps>strobing frequency: good, especially with overkill framerates
