Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Funny 390hz behaviour.

Post by Crazyness » 05 Feb 2022, 20:38

ticked enable Gsync 4 this monitor in Gsync section in NVCP

Overclock feature in display OSD ON (390hz)
ULL Ultra= frames smoother 351??? locked
Overdrive seting in OSD locked 2 Normal

Overclock feature in OSD OFF (360hz)
ULL Ultra= frames noticeably worse 360 locked
Overdrive seting in OSD unlocked

Unticked enable 4 this monitor

ULL Ultra= both options Overclock On and OFF

390hz=390fps locked
360hz=360fps locked
Overdrive seting in OSD unlocked

and most funny part is.. you can NOT retick ENABLE 4 this monitor..

even thou you retick press APPLY ..
little box will stay empty like its not ticked..

Only solution is 2 DDU..
and after clean install and ticked Enable in Gsync section
d first and d most smoother option regarding frame-times will work as intended.
only downside is..I do preffer Extreme overdrive seting,
where on normal i can notice some sort of Double-Imaging,
where on Extreme is almost gone.

Conclusion:

Freesync in this particular case paired with Nvidia Gpu 30series..
is NOT working as intended..
So first time you enable wannabe Gsync in this case..
and you ticked that Enable 4 specific display..
just forget about it and dont touch it untill you use d new driver 4 your gpu.

EDIT:
i still dont understand should i post this in Gsync or Freesync section :)
and are we gonna determine via GPU or via Display? (there is no stupid questions,only stupid answers :) )

EDIT2:
if you use DDU with overclock feature ON
ULL=Ultra
327fps locked

DDU with overclock feature OFF
ULL=Ultra
351fps locked
