you are probably used to using a very low brightness (and you do well if you can), because if you actually use the monitor without strobing with a lower brightness than you have with strobing on extreme you are going around 200 nits, that frankly they are very few for the average person, I would not be able to play with 200 nits even in a windowless cave.lizardpeter wrote: ↑31 Jan 2022, 20:38I am really not sure how you find the brightness of the Acer to be too low. Without strobing, it is very bright. I only use a fraction of the brightness and do not even have max brightness enabled. With strobing turned to extreme, it actually was brighter than the settings I currently use with no strobing.Vipa wrote: ↑28 Jan 2022, 12:17Of course and I'll never say Zowies better for office, work or whatever, even when playing casual games or not that serious into eSport. That's my only problem, I only use that monitor to play competitive fps at a certain level (not saying I am the best of the universe at all) and the Acer can't match with me due to again, that low brightness...

it depends on the game. that's probs why ubisoft has gamma correction (fancy words for feature that only ever serve as dialing brightness for most people anyways or isn't that what it lead people to believe) for r6 and fh since they make tons of single player games that veer more towards the "experience" gaming .IIISLIDEIII wrote: ↑01 Feb 2022, 09:09you are probably used to using a very low brightness (and you do well if you can), because if you actually use the monitor without strobing with a lower brightness than you have with strobing on extreme you are going around 200 nits, that frankly they are very few for the average person, I would not be able to play with 200 nits even in a windowless cave.lizardpeter wrote: ↑31 Jan 2022, 20:38I am really not sure how you find the brightness of the Acer to be too low. honestly this 240 tn vs 360 ips debate ... tons of these "fresh/young gen influencers" are basically using it to clickbait for their channel as they claim to know it best. i got this supposed 19 year old claiming that auo claims it's 4ms vs 5ms while defending his only vid on his channel where he spent 20 minutes talking a bunch of random nonsense with zero logic or meaningful conclusion whatsoever. i'd bet most people feel just as confused as reading my posts about mouse stuff. difference is he's just like every other kol acting like he deserves all the attention and clicks in the world, because he used some flowchart and a pretend tone. he actually claims in title and description that nobody else on the none dark web has any shred of authoritative review or guide or whatever about..whatever he just said. you guys can go ahead and check it out if you speak chinese lol. is there some + or - 4 this,
1 thing i will mention,
first time when you enable overclock feature..
prompt will pop up with information how you will increase power consumption..

To do a little update. Receive a XL2546K -> 3 bright dots.
Ordered a new one -> a big scratch on screen at unboxing.
6 XL2546K (4 on amazon, 2 directly on BenQ Shop) I tried and NO FUCKI*** ONE is flawless, that’s such a shame for BenQ.
I am completely bored about that company with actually no QC.
I might end on the Acer because I can’t spend thousands of euros to get a flawless one. The monitor is perfect to me but I can’t stand too many defects.
I feel so bored.

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Dead pixels and a scratch sounds unlucky. But what was the issue with the other four? No offense but six bad in a row honestly sounds unbelievable.
I was 1/1 on mine, but I still didn’t keep it lol

I tested two units, the first one had a perfect panel, the 2nd one had two dead pixels and the box looked like the product was already opened by someone else.Vipa wrote: ↑07 Feb 2022, 08:18To do a little update. Receive a XL2546K -> 3 bright dots.

Imo it's just Amazon not being capable of understanding that dead pixels are not something that the consumer considers usable regardless of BenQ own dead pixel policy (generally sub 3-5 dead pixels is not considered faulty by manufacturers) and trying to sell refunded monitors as brand new.
