Using Active DP Adapter, Is this normal?

Post by lopsided » 10 Jul 2014, 12:21

Hello guru's :)

I got my new BenQ 2411Z's mounted to my new FastTrackSims stand and have been quite happy with them. Thank you Chief for pointing me in the right direction concerning motion blur reduction!
The only thing lacking is my overall knowledge of everything "monitor tweak" related. lol

Sorry about the glare, but you get the idea.

Question:
I have a quirk :?: with my Accell B087B-007B Active Adapter and I was wondering if it's typical/normal or is it a sign of defect...
I only use surround and on occasion when I change the refresh rate, the screens go black (normal) and when they come back up the center screen (which uses the adapter) will come back fuzzy...small vertical lines across the entire screen... the whole thing looks "snowy?" sometimes even showing a double image.
It hasn't been a big issue because I can go back to my NVCP do a few steps and the next time it comes back up it's normal again. I'm using a mobo USB port for the adapters juice. Only an issue occasionally - not every time the refresh rate is changed, only an issue on the screen using the adapter, never a problem to "fix", it happens regardless of refresh rate, never happens at boot up, monitors themselves show correct refresh rate (matching Nvidia).

Thanks for any input,
Bailey

Still need some input on this.
Here's what the screen looks like when I have the issue...

After corresponding with Accell they are telling me their product is not defective but they feel it is merely incompatible with my equipment. Huh? It works most of the time. To make matters worse I'm past my allotted time to return it and since they are claiming it is not defective I'm stuck with it.
Very disappointed.

My equipment: BenQ X2411Z monitor, EVGA 780 GPU, 850 PSU, Accell Active DisplayPort to DVI adapter
So which is the incompatible? And why is it only incompatible on occasion?
