I was eyeing up the AOC g2460pg but this is practically the same price, main difference being 27" instead of 24". Will be interesting to see if Acer come out with a 24" version that beats the AOC price by a good bit.

Nice! have to fucking WAIT again... for 2 months.

But this monitor right here... this is me.
As i aint paying 800eur for the 1440p version, nor can i afford hardware to drive that at the 100+ fps i want.

I see all these: £XXX ex VAT

how does this convert to USD?

I understand that the ROG swift will be $800 USD but I'd like to know how much the 1080p variants will cost in U$D.

This is an 8 bit TN panel.

what is the AOC g2460pg? is that 6 bit or 8 bit?

Easily by google search string "300 gbp in us dollar". But this prices are just to compare local price of selling models (last 3 models) to upcoming ones. That means for example Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144Hz G-SYNC will cost like BenQ XL2720Z or Asus VG278HE.

If you do a conversion via google we're looking at rougly 600$, but if you compare the Acer GN246HL from £232.99 ex VAT to the Acer GN246HL in the united states: $249.99.

I'm guessing it will be roughly $399 based on the comparison rather than the conversion.

I'm hoping I can get a 1080p 144hz gsync monitor for sub $400 within the next 2 months.

It should be around 400 usd. Even if it is a little bit more, i suggest you go for the 27", not the 24". 24" is too small, trust me. U want to have a big screen to really immerse you in the smoothness.
