I'm using this one: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-Ce ... 143&sr=8-6.BTRY B 529th FA BN wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 14:44Can you recommend a 1.4 VeSa Certifed DP cable for this monitor for me? One that's overkill in specs and that will support 390Hz? I've been looking on amazon but an not familiar with DP cables. The spare that I am using is a DP cable from my Omen 240Hz.. It eventually started flickering so I went back to the one that came with the monitor, then that started flickering again.. so I'm back to the Omen cable for now. But I need something that is 1000% reliable

Cable length does matter for Displayport Cables, the shorter the better, don't buy 3m+ cables.
Also, if you find one that is marketed as VeSa certified you should also use the official DP VeSa Certified List to double check (https://www.displayport.org/product-cat ... -adaptors/), some products marketed as certified are sometimes not in this list.
With some Amd graphics cards you can control Pre-Emphasis and Voltage Swing to improve Displayport stability with longer cables, it was possible to control these two setting both with my RX580 and 5700XT so I recommend you to give it a try with your 6900XT, it might fix your issues or be an indicator of this issue being 100% cable related.

It surely is cable/port related in a way or another, if I was you I'd RMA your monitor since you also stated that you got the same issue when using a different cable.BTRY B 529th FA BN wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 12:14@axaro1 I adjusted those settings multiple different ways and it made the flickering worse. So faulty cable or monitor?
Pre-Emphasis is supposed to overshoot signals to compensate electric signals degradation (based on cable length or interference) and Voltage Swing from my understanding regulates the baseline voltage for the port, either way it's a port/cable issue and I don't think that Acer or your vendor will refuse an RMA.
As a general rule take as many videos as you can before sending it to RMA so you can dispute "the product is working as intended" claims in the case the manufacturer/vendor declare that the monitor is fine (and, depending on policy and region, might ask you to pay for shipping it back if that's the case).

By flickering do you mean going black for a second then coming back? If so I would return it ASAP. I bought the AOPEN version and only had it for 14 days, it did this a few times a day and then fully died. (The LED on the front didn't even come on). I could also get it to happen by touching my headset / usb ports so it might have been static buildup or interference but my other monitors are fine and never did this.BTRY B 529th FA BN wrote: ↑27 Apr 2022, 10:06Well since the reset it's rarely flickered. Maybe a couple of times. Hmmph. I wonder if I needed to do it between GPU changes?

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF
Hope it keeps. No trace of flicker on mine and I hope not to see it (using included display port/power cables). Not overclocked. 360 vs 390 is the same for all practical purposes to me.
Late replay but yes, mine saves polling rate to on-board memory w Synapse gone. Mouse Tester shows 2000hz if I read this right and this is after setting polling rate to 2000hz and uninstalling Synapse. What is not saved are LED settings which is something people have been complaining about literally for years (though you can save brightness for some reason. Set it to zero to avoid the gaudy LEDs).
