found out my issue.

IMPORTANT:
This subforum is for advanced users only. This separate area is for niche or unexpected lag issues such as electromagnetic interference (EMI, EMF, electrical, radiofrequency, etc). Interference of all kinds (wired, wireless, external, internal, environment, bad component) can cause error-correction (ECC) latencies like a bad modem connection, except internally in a circuit. ECC = retransmits = lag. Troubleshooting may require university degree. Your lag issue is likely not EMI.

Oh man- that sounds frustrating.texre wrote: β20 Jul 2022, 14:00https://a.co/d/4hoKlEs and the ups actually made it worse somehow
Thanks for linking the tester- I've ordered one.
Would trying a battery backup be possible to confirm if it really is an electrical issue? Even if it can just power your rig for a brief amount of time, I think it might be worth a shot. You could try charging the backup at your Mom's house, then using it to power your setup over at your dad's place. If the lag is gone, then it's almost definitely an electrical issue.

Would be worth a shot, if you could temporarily buy one to try out and return it.

Generator at your dad's house? Could the generator be the cause of the issues?texre wrote: β20 Jul 2022, 14:59i have a generator i wonder if i should try thatShade7 wrote: β20 Jul 2022, 14:51I wonder how expensive those can get.texre wrote: β20 Jul 2022, 14:43yeah i think the power station is the only thing thats gonna help meShade7 wrote: β20 Jul 2022, 14:31
