bought the XL2566K, does anyone know why in cs go the fps don't stay stable at fps_max 240 or 360, and stay stable with river tuner?
I have an Intel Core i9-13900K and RTX 4090

You can set quakelive 333fps
Re: ZOWIE XL2566K Discussion Thread [24.5" 360hz TN]
fps_max doesn't work as intended on Skylake CPUs and onwards because of a change in the PAUSE instruction.
You can read more about it here: github.com/dotnet/runtime/issues/8744
This will result in your framerate not hitting the cap. Other source games like Team Fortress 2 have the same issue. It was fixed in the Portal 2 source engine however. I wasn't sure if CSGO was also affected, installed it to confirm. The PAUSE instruction on Skylake changed from previous generations such as Haswell and Broadwell, from reference "Intel® 64 and IA-32 Architectures Optimization Reference Manual" section 8.4.7, "The latency of PAUSE instruction in prior generation microarchitecture is about 10 cycles, whereas on Skylake microarchitecture it has been extended to as many as 140 cycles." "As the PAUSE latency has been increased significantly, workloads that are sensitive to PAUSE latency will suffer some performance loss."
So the reason the frame limiter in RivaTuner works, is because it doesn't rely on the PAUSE instruction like fps_max does.

U sure it's not just a windows 10 issue. Fps_max 300 works fine on any CPU on windows 7 but not windows 10.Potatoad wrote: ↑12 May 2023, 12:04fps_max doesn't work as intended on Skylake CPUs and onwards because of a change in the PAUSE instruction.

So I purchased this monitor for competitive FPS mostly, notably Valorant and CS, at first glance, it looks super reactive and fast quite surprised how good I'm perfoming with just a couple of matches with this monitor.
I came from a Asus VG259QM 280hz, I still prefer the picture of the Asus, but I'm not too bothered by overall the picture and colors from this XL2566K, although it felt a bit blurry compared to TN to me.
I will need some advice for the people who play Valorant, what are your settings for the best performance/reactivity ? Dyac ON or OFF ? AMA Customized 15 ? Or High ?

Brightness varies depending on time of day
Contrast 50
Gamma 4
Black Equalizer Off
Sharpness 10
Color vibrance 14-16
RGB- 95-96-100
Dyac OFF
AMA - 15
These settings work for me in most games; usually only change black equalizer depending on what I’m playing.

Thanks for your answer, I will test it.Grasshopper24 wrote: ↑20 May 2023, 13:19Standard PresetVerity wrote: ↑19 May 2023, 07:27So I purchased this monitor for competitive FPS mostly, notably Valorant and CS, at first glance, it looks super reactive and fast quite surprised how good I'm perfoming with just a couple of matches with this monitor.

For now, I'm getting used to Dyac in Valorant, although I don't see a big difference for now in-game when it's on Premium or Off.
Do you have any idea what is the figure for AMA set at high ? 15-17 probably ?
I like 15 aswell, High is good too, Premium I start to feel a bit unbeareable.
I will try to play for a month with this monitor in rank, see if I can reach the highest rank Radiant and performance-wise.

Hello everybody,
I hope this dont come off as a lazy question but I was wondering If someone could point me in the right direction in setting up CRU for a 180 fps 1728 x 1080 resolution on the Zowie XL2566K . Should I just use the ToastyX CRU Vertical Total Calculator for Quick Frame Transport (QFT) as in viewtopic.php?t=10402 and call it a day? I am a noob to CRU. If the ToastyX CRU Vertical Total Calculator for Quick Frame Transport (QFT) is not the answer; can someone please give me a example of the data I can use when I put the timing on Manual for a 180 fps 1728 x 1080 resolution?

U play with dyac? If u no use dyac, play on 360 hz with 180 fps cap, and use custom res in nvcp, i play apex on 180 fps cap and use 1728 in nvcp + nvcp sharpness, its very good, i no use dyac, u no did lower hz if u no use dyac, u can use fps cap on 360 hz.daviddave1 wrote: ↑24 May 2023, 02:44Hello everybody,
