Hello, currently still on my old predator Acer XB241H I would like to change.
I hesitate between the ViewSonic XG2431 and the DELL S2522HG, both are the same price for me.
But from what I saw it seems to me that I have to decide quickly since the DELL S2522HG is no longer produced.
I would like to know if from my current screen I would see a big difference, on the sharpness of the image, the visibility, the fluidity and smoothness.
What would you advise me ?
Thanks You

Its odd, Rtings has not review this monitor yet so it hard to look up a decent review.
in the forums there is some feedback on that monitor: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12073&p=94156&hilit=S2522HG
It being a forums post here gives some indication that they know what poor monitor quality to looks like or what to look for.
Get the XG2431, its been heavily reviewed and blurbusters themselves helped tune it.
I have the monitor myself and the PureXP blur reduction is fantastic especially for aim tracking games.

Thanks, for PureXP blur reduction is it the same as DYAC ?Tiberiusmoon wrote: ↑04 Jun 2023, 16:25Its odd, Rtings has not review this monitor yet so it hard to look up a decent review.

I tried the BENQ with DYAC and it reduced the brightness and gave me a very weird and unpleasant feeling, will it be the same with PureXP?
The loss of brightness bothers me too
Thank you

DyAc is one of the brightest strobe backlights (300 nits), so you will see the brightness-loss compromise with the majority of strobe backlights. Unfortunately, you will likely get something similar with PureXP -- all motion blur reduction modes like these are very similar.
If brightness loss is a big problem for you, then you may want to consider strobeless methods of motion blur reduction, such as high frame rates on either a 240Hz OLED or 360Hz+ LCD.
If motion blur reduction without strobing is a maximum priority over everything else -- the answer is obvious: High frame rates on a 240Hz OLED. It will be easier to use brute framerate-based motion blur reduction with OLED than LCD, since 240fps on a 240Hz OLED is a bit clearer than 360fps on most 360Hz LCDs (strobing=off). Motion clarity scales better, where 120-vs-240 is clearer to tell apart on OLED than LCD -- meaning every frame rate improvement you get, has the maximum strobeless motion blur reducing benefits.
The degree of motion blur reduction via brute framerate alone, will produce at the lowest (1/Hz) MPRT, so won't be as low as 1ms MPRT until we have 1000fps 1000Hz. However, 1/240sec (4ms) MPRT achieved strobelessly, without an LCD GtG bottleneck, is a great compromise for those who hate both blur AND flicker.
However, the advantage is no brightness loss, and no flicker -- and this is the alternative method of blur busting that may work better for you.

Hello, although I am very interested in OLED technology, they are far too expensive for meChief Blur Buster wrote: ↑04 Jun 2023, 17:40DyAc is one of the brightest strobe backlights (300 nits), so you will see the brightness-loss compromise with the majority of strobe backlights. I plan to switch to an OLED screen only when I change my PC

So between the two you recommend the XG2431 even if the DELL has better performance ?
Opinions on the XG249CM ?
Thanks you

Hello, what do you recommend?
I will order in 2 or 3 days and I still hesitate a lot
