Talk about NVIDIA G-SYNC, a variable refresh rate (VRR) technology. G-SYNC eliminates stutters, tearing, and reduces input lag. List of G-SYNC Monitors.

Figured I would post this here first since I found it because someone posted the URL here.

Beat me to it! Just pre-ordered mine. Hopefully our orders made it in for the initial supply  :D
I literally JUST pre-ordered mine right before coming here! I hope everyone else get's their order in on time!
Haha nice! Yeah hopefully we get in on the first batch and it ships out even tonite. It sold out really quick though, only about 10 minutes after I put my order in its back to Auto-Notify.

What shipping did you all choose? Kinda bummed 2-day shoprunner wasn't available as an option, so I went with 3-day figuring it would ship from CA (I'm on East Coast). Didn't want to pay $55 for overnight, if I did that I'd just pick it up locally at MC tomorrow and pay tax instead.

Anyways thanks again to this forum, I was refreshing the link Gamelifter posted every 10 minutes and just got lucky I guess. :D

I also ordered one from Tiger Direct. I would have prefered to get it from Newegg, since they frequently ship from a nearby location, and I have been a customer for decades. I've also experienced Tiger being less than honest with their "in stock" status in the past, so I hope I don't get burnt!

And I doubly hope I don't get burnt by any SLI or Battlefield issues! :D

Well, Neo_Bogard was correct. Tiger Direct does not have these in stock. Even though they listed the item as "In Stock". Customer support told me they are hoping for a shipment in the 2nd or 3rd week of September! I guess blur hating gamers are more prevalent than I thought. Never expected an $800 monitor to sell out so quickly.

Just got my shipping confirmation from NewEgg, should be here on the 28th. :D!

Amazing how an $800 monitor sold so quickly! I wonder how many of those are folks looking to resell @ a higher price :(.

Will let you know how it goes when I get mine.

Yep got my shipping confirmation last night as well, I'm on EC and the Swift is shipping from CA, so it won't get here until the 28th. I tried to have CS upgrade my shipping to Shoprunner 2-day since it wasn't an option and she seemed like it she was willing to do it but couldn't because it had already gone to packaging phase.

But yeah maybe a lot of people on the fence were just waffling hoping the price dropped, but after they realized there was strong demand for this panel they just pulled the trigger. I've been resolved to buy this for quite some time mainly because I remembered how blown away I was when I upgraded to my VG278H from my AW2310. Looking forward to similar with this Swift.

I think demand will only go up in the next month or so btw, seeing how Phillips is asking $700 for their 1080p G-Sync panel.

$899.99. Is it really worth that?

The only retailer selling these over here (Greece) raised the price to $1320, and then sold out.

Easy money. I'd say people are suckers

I'm waiting for the Acer 27" G-Sync monitor.
