Mousetester should show the correct rates, some programs show 125hz due to coalescing (from what I understand they're packaging multiple packets/polls together and reducing the polling rate).
Was a fan of this update as I thought it would just disallow programs from polling the mouse faster then 125hz unless they're in the foreground, but seems as though they tried to improve it by adding coalescing. Maybe someone will be able to figure out how to turn off coalescing. It was causing heavily oscillating in mouse tester, so I reverted windows. Still trying to figure out if it helped or didn't, regardless of what mouse tester showed.
Windows 11 Update Fixes High Polling Rate Stuttering
Re: Windows 11 Update Fixes High Polling Rate Stuttering
Newbie here,
Is it advisable to do this even though my drivers are 10.0.2261.1928 for USBXHCI.sys?

Re: Windows 11 Update Fixes High Polling Rate Stuttering
The guy that responded to me posted a batch 'fix' that has nothing to do with what we're discussing here as far as I could tell by reading through the changes it's doing. It's just a shotgun fix for general mouse issues.
Re: Windows 11 Update Fixes High Polling Rate Stuttering
it is only win11 update?
Re: Windows 11 Update Fixes High Polling Rate Stuttering
Polling rate stability seems fine for me on win11. For sure win10 is a bit better but I don't think it matters at all in-game.
Also power saving features can trow the tests off, win11 itself has power saving features outside of your control, it doesn't apply in-game al all.
