Hello, windows defender states that Oorbuster.exe is a trojan, anyone have any info why windows warns about this?

I could not find anyone else having this problem, thanks in advance.

I have attempted and failed to successfully overclock my BenQ XL2420T (120hz) to anything beyond 130hz. :/ I tried both versions of OOR Buster since I don't have a 2nd monitor and I tossed my S-Switch like a decade ago. The Out of Range message disappears quickly but I'm stuck on the black screen until windows reverts back due to me not confirming the resolution in time. I'm on DisplayPort cable.

I have AMA turned off and Instant Mode on. My Brightness is set to 50, BlackeQualizer 0, Sharpness 3, and Contrast 50.

SoftMCCS tells me my monitor has 9,916 hours of Display Usage Time. Maybe it's just too used/worn out?

Anyone know if I did something wrong?

For about two years now I've been trying my best to reach the maximum refresh rate, so here are my results.
Monitor: XL2411P with Displayport / AMA: Off / Instant Mode: On / Blur Reduction: On-Off.
1920 x 1080: 224 Hz
1024 x 768: 257 Hz

Im sorry to say but I only had good results using s-switch. OOR doesnt work for me and i didnt even try MCCS.
Also note that higher OC only works in non-3d mode; which you can cycle via custom resolutions(120 and 121Hz) or power.
Also try to play with 22" display mode.

Could you please write down how you got such a good result? (Firmware version, drivers version, CRU res)
I'm going crazy over this.
2411P with DP 1.2 limited by monitor, gpu is 1.4 - fw V013-20201204
Tried with OORBuster, tried with SoftMCCS - everything thru Nvidia control panel.
With CRU the custom resolution won't just apply.
Nvidia driver 537.42
Tried pixel clock patcher (apparently not working on this driver version, still have to try with a supported one)

I suspect that the firmware has a hardlock on OOR.. maybe someone could dump an older version?
I've seen some topics that you can flash FW with linux, worth a try?

Any tip would be appreciated

So I had some freetime and tinkered some more.
And I guess Santa had me on the good boys list since just by trying to change all the settings possible I got rewarded:
Disabling AMA and instant mode (as opposed to newer models and 1st page guide) allowed for having high OC at 1080p.
And colors are much better in this mode too!
Lessons here: trust but check your shit anyway and be a good boy.
Also does anyone know how much input lag i loose with instant mode off? I tried to test but 120fps slow-mo shows no difference for mouse pointer movement vs mouse movement at different resolutions and refresh rates. And I don't have a better cam.

From tftcentral monitor review:
"The XL2730Z like previous XL series screens features an "instant mode" setting in the OSD which is designed to bypass some internal electronics and reduce input lag. First of all we left instant mode turned off. At 60Hz refresh rate there was a total lag of 16.22ms (about 1 frame), but as soon as you switched up to a higher refresh rate it dropped significantly to only 5.25ms total display lag. We're not sure why this was the case, and this was still with instant mode turned off. Enabling instant mode reduced the overall lag slightly further to only 4ms total. With ~1.7ms of that attributed to pixel response times we can estimate a signal processing lag of ~2.3ms which is incredibly low. Blur Reduction mode didn't add anything further to the lag which was positive news. If you're a heavy gamer then we'd recommend using instant mode to offer you the lowest lag possible on the screen.

Update 16/5/16 - A note from BenQ via one of our forum members (TerminatorUK) about lag when using FreeSync. When using FreeSync, the monitor directly displays the content on the panel which the AMD FreeSync graphic card outputs to the monitor. There is no signal processing needed in the monitor itself saving lag time, because this technology runs without memory flash or RAM processing. time. This lag is not impacted by the varying refresh rates or FPS either which is good news. So the lag when using FreeSync should be pretty much non-existent or we expect close to the "instant mode" results here."

So I'm assuming instant mode benefits are negligible at 210Hz

To be able to overclock XL2411P monitors with NEWER firmware you have to:

Open SoftMCCS in second monitor - then change Scan Mode (TV) from overscan to normal, or just switch between modes, this will work and bypass Out Of Range mode.

Could you guys create an app like OOR buster but with this method?

Would be appreciated since I don't have a second monitor to do this anymore..
