No problemo, how's this?

EDIT: Included second photo of in-game. It plays smoothly, aside from the odd network stutter when in over-populated areas, e.g. legion event/ World boss.
So does it make your gaming smoother? Also, you are one lucky dude. DPC Checker for me is always yellow, I don't ever see it green. What are your specs?
Yes, tested in multiple games training areas (to avoid any potential matchmaking latencies when testing) and also in actual games. For me when accel is disabled I get hardly any hitching in games where it used to be very bad especially, e.g. Fortnite was unplayable for me until recently due to constant stuttering, especially when falling from the bus or in large areas.

My specs are;

i9 9900kf, 3600mhz Corsair vengeance, 4070 wind force OC, msi z390-A pro.
Previously had the asus rog strix z390, but swapped to test the theory of ‘does smoother mouse in bios translate to in OS smoothness”.
Okay, so our issues are similar. For me gaming and overall system get smoother when DPC Latency Checker is running. Just out of curiosity, what are the timings on your RAM?

Running stock timings when set to Xmp 2, no tinkering there at all aside from that

Ok great stuff in this thread.

Take all of this with a grain of salt...

I initially downloaded the dx control panel and disabled Direct3D and DirectDraw.

This didnt show up on dxdiag as disabled however.

Despite dxdiag saying its on, certain games that required direct3d wouldnt work (TF2 in my case). So i turned them back on.

I then installed DirectPlay and turned Direct3D and DirectDraw hardware accel off again. This time dxdiag reported it accurately (probably due to DirectPlay). TF2 still wouldnt work with it off so i turned it back on again.

I should mention i didnt notice any big difference in mouse feel with the hardware accel on or off in other games, but simply turning it off and back on again made the game feel a bit more in "sync" if that makes sense but this effect was very short and lasted like 1-3 mins at best. Could be placebo idk.

Then i went to regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics\DisableHWAcceleration and set that to 1. (If inside the Avalon.Graphics folder you dont see a "DisableHWAcceleration" DWORD, then create a new one. Set its value to 1)
(Also not entirely sure what it does, i basically just changed during an episode of copium but i think it has to do with WPF apps)
After changing that in regedit, i restarted pc.

Then i toggled hardware accel for direct3d and directdraw on control panel off and on again then booted up tf2.
The game felt the best it's been in years. I tried other games too and they all felt better. Not so much better mouse movement, but stuff felt a lot more in sync and it was easier to track stuff

I tried setting DisableHWAcceleration in regedit back to its default 0 and the game felt worse again.

So in my case, i think i need to have BOTH DisableHWAcceleration set to 1 + toggle direct3d and directdraw hardware accel on and off checking dxdiag to make sure it updates accurately. I just need to do the control panel toggle each boot but the regedit change is permanent.

This could all just be placebo so try messing with DisableHWAcceleration in addition to the dx control panel changes and see if it changes anything. Either way this fixes a lot of the problems i was having though and i've been lurking this forum for years trying various stuff.

Can you take a screenshot of this interface?
Because AGP Texture Acceleration is displayed as Not available in my case, I want to see if yours is the same as mine. Thanks!

I have no input lag, currently mainly researching desync.

Sure no problem. Here's what my dxdiag looks like for a few combinations:

Looks like AGP Texture Acceleration appears to depend on DirectDraw hardware accel on my rig at least.

Weird I can't disable them..

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics
DisableHWAcceleration dword= 1

Direct3D Allow Hardware Accel unticked & the same with DirectDraw.. - Apply, OK & Restart.

What am i doing wrong here? im on Win 11 22h2 22621.2506

Wasn't able to use that DX control panel app but did some googling and came across some threads on how to disable those two entries in the display tab of dxdiag via registry.

After adding these two in and checking dxdiag before and after both fields - DirectDraw/Direct3D Acceleration show disabled.
