If 120 is the lowest FPS, then cap to 120 and see if you like the result.rasdore wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 22:53Good afternoon, thank you for the guide. I play Hunt Showdown on PC and my framerate is not stable even on minimum settings (120-160 fps), as is the frame. Monitor - Asus PG258Q (g-sync, overdrive, 240hz), video card - nvidia suprimx 3080. After reading the manual, I could not find the settings for myself. I ask for your help, I will be glad for any hint. In search of the lowest latency with an adequate frame rate...

I answered your question in my article comments, but as I said there, G-SYNC will not strictly improve performance, only prevent tearing.rasdore wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 22:53Good afternoon, thank you for the guide. What average framerate your system can achieve in that particular game is unrelated to optimal G-SYNC settings and down the capability of your specs, so you'll need to determine your lowest achievable average framerate and then limit it slightly below that target for a more consistent experience.

These are my performance with v sync + g sync + low latency + frame limit by nvidia. Is it possible to somehow change the delay? I see gaps in the image when the framerate drops to 100-120. 140-180 is normal.

At 240 Hz, 120 frames in this game look very sluggish and out of sync with sudden movements. If I don’t lower the monitor’s Hertz, is there no way out?RealNC wrote: ↑14 Nov 2023, 08:13If 120 is the lowest FPS, then cap to 120 and see if you like the result.rasdore wrote: ↑13 Nov 2023, 22:53Good afternoon, thank you for the guide. This is not related to G-SYNC settings. Please create a new topic here:rasdore wrote: ↑14 Nov 2023, 09:34https://imgur.com/a/0N47wCO

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
I do not know its nature, but I am trying to use it on mpv, it seems it works but should not it have fixed fps? I mean video is 23.97 fps but my hertz is not stable its moves around 48-165 does it work in that way? I have Lenovo R25i-30 adn RTX 3050
Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
I hope somebody could help me with that?
What is the benefit of having v-sync 'on' within the g-sync range: variable refresh rate? I have not noticed any difference in quake champions.

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
It prevents tearing in cases where you get tearing. If you don't have any cases where you get tearing, then it won't do anything. Tearing with g-sync can happen sometimes at the very bottom of the screen.

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
Hi,
Could anyone please help with the recommendation for dx12 games for gsync+vsync to work correctly? I.e. for Apex Legends specifically, there are dx11 and dx12 options to run the game in, dx11 works perfectly well with gsync+vsync, however, dx12 doesn't feel as smooth as dx11 even though g-sync indicator shows green. Is there anything specific to keep in mind with dx12 version?
In Game options:
Fullscreen
Reflex - enabled+boost
V-sync - off
NVCP:
G-sync - fullscreen + windowed
V-sync - force on
Low latency Mode: On
Windows 11 Registry:
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore:
GameDVR_DXGIHonorFSEWindowsCompatible = 1
GameDVR_EFSEFeatureFlags = 0
GameDVR_Enabled = 0
GameDVR_FSEBehaviorMode = 2
GameDVR_HonorUserFSEBehaviorMode = 0

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
The recommendations are the same as with DX11. If a game has stutters, g-sync can't help you. All it does it match refresh rate and frame rate, it can't fix stutters.
