My apologies, for some reason I read the title as PG27AQDM and not PG27AQN
No worries, easy mistake.
Same thing is happening for me after a few minutes, so it's normal:

It's a form of an inversion artifact that causes temporary image retention.

My question is now is this normal for this specific model and can anyone else who owns it confirm this or is this a defect and should i RMA it and get a replacement?
It's normal for the sync track to be retained temporarily if you've had it running long enough.

Thank you for testing this. That puts me at ease. I also kept up a checkerboard picture for 3 hours and it didn't show any sign of IR, so i guess my monitor is ok.
